When is the best time of the year to get my chimney swept?

One of the most common questions we get from our clients is when is the best time of the year to get your chimney cleaned.

For most, the initial assumption is around the start of autumn when the weather is starting to cool and the chances of you having to use the chimney is increasing.

While the assumption makes intuitive sense, it is the complete opposite. Right after winter is when your chimney is the dirtiest!

Spring and Summer are the best time to book a sweep with Dr Flue!

Historically, Dr Flue gets most of its bookings in autumn and winter. While we strive to provide the best possible service in a timely manner year-round, often it can be hard to get a booking around these busy times.

Around this time, every reputable company has a waiting list which can be several weeks long! Which is not ideal for our customers.
