Woodsman Totara Insert Wood Burner

OVERVIEW

The Woodsman Totara Insert is a Low Emission wood burner designed to turn an existing brick or masonry open fireplace into a more effective enclosed wood fire. Its clean fascia and large viewing window make it particularly well suited to replacement and fireplace upgrade installations where homeowners want to retain the position and character of an existing fireplace.

The Totara has a 33 litre firebox, accommodates logs up to 450 mm long and delivers an average heat output of 7.3 kW on high and 4.7 kW on low. A stainless steel baffle is used for durability and straightforward servicing, and the fire operates without an electrical connection.

For an Auckland insert wood burner installation, Dr Flue can assess the existing fireplace and chimney, hearth requirements, clearances and the optimum new flue configuration. A zero-clearance installation option is also available for suitable timber-framed installations. When replacing an existing fire, Dr Flue installs a complete new flue system rather than reusing the old flue.
