Warmington Cardrona Cooker

OVERVIEW

The Warmington Cardrona Cooker is a New Zealand-made wood range cooker designed to provide home heating, cooking, baking and optional hot-water heating from one substantial freestanding appliance. Designed for medium to large rural homes, it combines a large 8 mm cooktop with an integrated oven, two stainless-steel oven shelves and an optional wetback.

Warmington recommends the Cardrona for heating approximately 150–180 m², making it particularly suited to larger homes and open-plan living areas. The large cooking surface can accommodate two 250 mm and two 200 mm pans or pots, while the integrated oven provides genuine wood-fired cooking, baking and roasting capability.

For rural Auckland installations, the Cardrona is an excellent option for homeowners wanting their wood fire to provide more than room heating alone. It can also be considered when replacing an older wood range or cooker. Dr Flue can assess the heating and cooking requirements, fire position, non-combustible hearth, wetback requirements and roof penetration before specifying the optimum complete new flue system. For Auckland installations, this rural fire requires a property over 2 hectares.
