OVERVIEW

The Firenzo Athena Bay Wetback Rural is a New Zealand-made insert wood burner designed for rural homes wanting both powerful wood heating and additional water heating. It combines the traditional Athena styling and wide bay viewing door with Firenzo's large Bay firebox and a 3 kW wetback.

Firenzo specifies the Bay at 110–180 m² with an estimated peak heat output of 23 kW, making it a strong option for larger rural homes where an existing masonry fireplace is being upgraded.

For Auckland installations, the Rural model requires a property over 2 hectares. The wetback provides the additional benefit of transferring heat from the wood burner into a suitable hot-water system.
